John Curtis Kyle (July 17, 1851 – July 6, 1913) was a Democratic politician from the US state of Mississippi during the late 19th century. Kyle was born in Sardis, Mississippi and attended Bethel College in Tennessee. After undergraduate work, he attended Cumberland University Law School and graduated in 1874, upon which he moved back to Sardis and began to practice law. From 1879 to 1881, he served as mayor of Sardis; from 1881 to 1885, he was in the Mississippi State Senate. From 1886 to 1890, he worked as a member of the Mississippi Railroad Commission. From 1891 to 1897, he was elected to the U.S. House, serving again as a Democrat. He was not a candidate for renomination in the 1896 election, and retired from the House after his term ended on March 3, 1897. After leaving the House, Kyle returned to Sardis, and took up practicing law again; he also became involved in banking.
